Our timing adventure started in 2007 when we organized a local duathlon in a village in Ardèche. It has now taken us to many more places, working with timers around the world in many different sports.
We started with grass-roots triathlons and other multisport events. We have since been involved in many more — from mass participation triathlons with thousands of participants to Elite national and international races.
In sports timing, nothing gets your heart beating quite as fast as a peloton of a hundred riders sprinting towards the finish line at 60 km/h. We were introduced to elite road cycling in 2017 and still love to feel the rush.
Thousands of runners on the start line ready to tear the asphalt as soon as the gun fires is quite a sight! Large-scale international marathons require months of preparation, considerations that go well beyond simply race timing.
One of our favourite sports, with diverse formats taking place in a refreshing environment and a relaxed atmosphere. XCO, XCE, downhill, team stage races, and even series scoring—we've seen a lot, and look forward to exploring more.
Sometimes it makes for a nice change to go listen to the engines roaring, smell the fumes, and time a motor sports event. The very specific rules and passionate people always make it a thrilling experience.
Need an extra set of hands on-site, an extra pair of eyes monitoring your event remotely, or a results manager to oversee timing and scoring? We'll gladly join your team.
One of the first aspects of the event experience for participants: we'll set yours up to be sleek and user-friendly, so that you can make a powerful first impression.
Events come with a variety of scoring logics and people to provide information to. We'll help you set up your event file to tick all the boxes that are important to you.
Sharing our knowledge with fellow timers is part of our DNA. If you'd like to develop your timing skills or train new staff, we offer you personalised training, in person or online.
We deploy RACE RESULT hardware at every chip timed event. With disposable or reusable transponders, passive or active, using a wide range of timing devices, RACE RESULT gives us all the options needed to cover any sort of event.
We use RACE RESULT 12 and the my.raceresult.com platform to score every event, and publish results online. We also use the my.raceresult.com platform for online registration.
We use the IDCam software to manage our video backup of the finish line. We can connect one or several IP-cameras in the software, which allows us to record the whole finish and review it at the same time if needed. Recording is triggered by motion-detection, or by detections on the timing system at the finish. We can search for a bib number to review the corresponding images.
We have played a part in the development of the RaceResultExchange software and use it regularly. With this tool we can import photo-finish data into RACE RESULT 12 via API, in real time. It also allows us to download and compile several reports as a PDF results book, to drive LED-displays with data from RACE RESULT 12, and to send out HTTP Post requests.
The Racemap platform allows course maps to be created with points of interest and to track the athletes and the event vehicles (lead, sweep, medics, etc.) in real-time, using either GPS trackers, smartphones, or predictive tracking based on the chip detections.
Based in Bolzano (Italy), Microgate has revolutionised timekeeping for alpine skiing in the mid-1980’s by inventing a radio transmission system for timing devices. The company’s activities have since reached far beyond the small world of sports timekeeping, into sports training and medical rehabilitation devices, and engineering control systems for telescopes and adaptive optics. Timit owns and operates displays, chronometers, photocells and radio transmitters from Microgate’s cutting edge PRO SERIES product line. We are authorised resellers for Microgate’s timing products, feel free to contact us anytime for a demonstration or a quote.
The Timit event App lists all the events we score. All the event information is available through links, spectators can mark athletes as favourites to receive push notifications and follow their progress on the map, the customised individual results window shows all splits, medals, links to finisher certificates and photos.
The App has been developed by Evento, based in New Zealand, who provide event Apps for events such as the Epic Series and major running events in Oceania and around the world. Together with Evento, we have built a standard integration with our RACE RESULT 12 event templates that allows other timers to easily deploy their own mobile App.
